History
Late
in 1965, a group of interested individuals met to consider the special
needs of patients in Sunnybrook Hospital. Later, the scope of the
group's aims was extended to include patients from any caregiving
organization in the Greater Toronto Area. The "Hospital Special Needs
Committee" was formed in 1966, the organization was incorporated in its
present form.
The
Corporation is a registered charitable organization, comprised of
members of the community who give their time, skills and exoerience on
a voluntary basis. A small dedicated staff ensure that reservation are
effieciently handled and that all vehicles are properly maintained and
operated.
